Plesuv and Raghavan Headline WPT Seminole Rock 'N Roll Open Final Table on PokerGO

The stage is set for yet another thrilling World Poker Tour final table as the Seminole Rock ‘N Roll Open is down to its final six with Moldova’s Pavel Plesuv in the lead. The biggest name at the final table is WPT Champions Club member Ravi Raghavan who looks for his second title but has to mount a comeback with only 17 big blinds.

The fourth day of play started with 14 hopefuls including pro soccer player Brent Kallman who plays for the Minnesota United FC in the MLS. The first five players were eliminated rather quickly as Brett Apter, Jeff Yarchever, Tom Burandt, John DuBois, and Alan Schein’s eliminations brought the field down to just nine.

With nine players remaining Plesuv made his move by getting tangled up in a pot worth 20% of all the chips in play versus start-of-the-day chip leader James Rann. Rann held ace-king suites but was no match for the red queens of the Moldovan pro.

Falling just shy of the final table in eighth place, Kallman was next to the exit. Kallman ran pocket nines into the tens of Marius Gierse to collect $62,110, ending his hopes of becoming the first ever active professional athlete to win a WPT title.

The day ended with Roberto Bendeck’s elimination in seventh place for $79,650 as he ran ace-six of diamonds into the ace-queen of Jeremy Joseph. Joseph hit a queen on the flop and the final table of six was set. Here’s the seat draw heading into today’s final table.
